2) House Legislative Initiative 18-5 - Shall there be a constitutional convention to propose amendments to the Constitution?
Under Section 2 of Article XVIII of the Constitution, the Legislature may submit to the voters the question, “Shall there be a constitutional convention to propose amendments to the Constitution?” The majority of both houses passed House Bill 18-5, “an act to present to the voters in the Commonwealth in the next general election the question: ‘Shall there be a constitutional convention to propose amendments to the Constitution?” Thus, the question is now being presented to the voters.
3) House Legislative Initiative 18-12 - To amend Article XV, Section 1 (E) of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands to increase guaranteed funding of the Public School System from fifteen percent to twenty-five percent.
